Making a delicious smoothie is a great way to start your morning, or to fuel up for an afternoon workout. Here are some tips for making a tasty and healthy smoothie to enjoy any time of day.
What You’ll Need
- 1 cup of your favorite fruit
- 1 cup of your favorite vegetable
- 1 cup of your favorite dairy product such as yogurt, milk or almond milk
- 1-2 tablespoons of your favorite nut butter or seeds
- 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon of honey or agave nectar (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt (optional)
- Gather all of the ingredients you will need.
- Chop the fruit and vegetables into smaller pieces.
- Place the ingredients into a blender.
- Add the dairy, nut butter, ground flaxseed, honey and/or agave nectar and sea salt (optional) to the blender.
- Blend until the ingredients are fully combined and the smoothie is creamy.
